Three generations of piano rebuilding in central Indiana

Three generations of the Winter family have been servicing the piano community in central Indiana since 1978. At the age of 18, Ron Winter began learning the craft of piano service from his uncle Lloyd Olson, a well-established technician in Indianapolis. Ron took what he learned from his uncle and grew this into a life’s work of rebuilding and improving pianos across the United States.

Ron’s three sons, Seth, Timothy, and Jason, have grown up working on pianos alongside their dad. Ron’s father, John, also joined the rebuilding business during his retirement from the Air Force. Through Ron, the Winter family built a strong reputation across central Indiana and beyond in concert work and full-service piano restoration and rebuilding.
